The computer cannot connect remote computer


Description

Not able to connect machine through remote desktop

SOLUTION

1. Go-> regedt32 -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MSLicensing take a backup of that and delete MSLicensing, after that restart the machine and check it will work

2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TermService\Parameters there you can find Certificate, delete that key

Print spooler service is not ruuning

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION


Whenever we try to install any printer it shows error that print spooler service is not ruuning.
  

SOLUTION:

This happens due to any of the installed printer drivers corrupted.

To overcome this issue follow the below process:

1)    Stop the Print Spooler service for time being.
2)    Delete all the printers from Printers.
3)    Then go to C:\windows\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86
4)    Delete all the folders from above path.
5)    Start the Print spooler service again. Then reboot the system.
6)    After reboot cross check whether the print spooler service is running or not.
If it is running and in Automatic mode then try to install the printer now.

Unable to boot the system showing the error Winnt_root\System32\Hal.dll missing or corrupt:

Please re-install a copy of the above file


SOLUTION:

The problem happens because boot .ini file is currupted so boot loader is uanble to boot the OS.
In such case you don’t need to format the machine.
In this case you can not reapir the OS beacause of the OS don’t get identified.

Just follow the following steps.

Use the Windows XP CD-ROM to start your computer.
When you receive the message to press R to repair Windows by using the Recovery Console, press the R key.
Select the Windows installation that you want, and then type the administrator password when prompted.

Type bootcfg /rebuild, and then press ENTER.
When the Windows installation is located, the following instructions are displayed:

Add installation to boot list? (Yes/No/All)
[Type Y in response to this message.]

Enter Load Identifier:
[This is the name of the operating system. Type Windows XP Professional.]

Enter OS Load options:
[Leave this field blank, and then press ENTER].

Lastly
C: /WINDOWS/exit ---press enter

Machine get restarted and you able to boot the OS

“Not enough storage to complete this operation” popps up while using IE6


Problem:

While using IE6 it pops up with “Not enough storage to complete this operation”  error.


Resolution:

Delete all the registry keys from the below given path.
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\5.0\User Agent\Post"

Cannot open your default email folders. The file xxxx.ost is not an offline folder file.

Problem:
When starting Microsoft Outlook, you get the following error message:
Cannot open your default email folders. The file xxxx.ost is not an offline folder file.

  Resolution:
There are two reasons that will cause this error, as follows:
·         The OST file is damaged or corrupted, and cannot be recognized by Microsoft Outlook, so Outlook will report this error.
·         The OST file is associated with a mailbox on the Exchange server. If for any reasons, Microsoft Outlook cannot access the associated Exchange mailbox or start synchronizing the mailbox with the offline folders in the OST file, it will report this error.
  Solution:
1.    Find the OST file that causes the error.
2.    Rescue the offline data in the OST file.use Advanced Exchange Recovery to scan the OST file, recover the data in it, and save them into an Outlook PST file.
3.    Backup the OST file.
4.    Rename or delete the original OST file that causes the problem
5.    Make sure the email account settings in Outlook are correct, and Outlook can connect to your Exchange server correctly.
6.    Start Outlook and send/receive your emails on the Exchange mailbox, this will make Outlook to create a new OST file automatically and synchronize its data with the Exchange mailbox.

Communicator 2007: "Outlook Integration Error"

When you try to log on to Communicator 2007 you might get a error "Outlook Integration Error" and you might not be able to login to the communicator successfully.

To fix this problem,

  1. Click Start, and then click Run.
  2. In the Open box, type regedit, and then press ENTER.
  3. Locate and then right-click the following registry subkey:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Communicator

  1. Point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  2. Type DisableEmailComparisonCheck as the name of new registry entry, and then press ENTER.
  3. Double-click DisableEmailComparisonCheck, type 1 in the Value data box, and then click OK.
  4. Exit Registry Editor.
  5. Restart the Office Communicator and login

Windows Picture and Fax Viewer option unavailable

When you try to open any .JPG file it is not opening in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Even that option is also no there when we select Open with option.

Solution:

1) Log on to the computer as an Administrator

2) Click Start, click Run, type regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\shimgvw.dll, and then click OK.

3) When you receive a following message, “DllRegisterServer in C:\Windows\System32\shimgvw.dll succeeded.” then click OK

4) Close Windows Explorer, and then try to view the picture again.
